CCMA of Ohio lines up a slew of concerts till May
OHIO, March 4: Columbus Carnatic Music Association (CCMA) will present a vocal concert of Madurai Sundar on March 6. He will be accompanied by Jaishankar Balan on the violin and Vinod Seetharaman on the mridangam. It will begin at 6 p.m. It will be held at Upper Arlington City Building.

On March 13, CCMA will hold a special Ramanavami programme. Titled `Many Ramayanas: the richness of the Ramayana tradition”, it will be a story-telling session by Professor Paula Richman. This will be followed by a Ramayana concert by Bhavadhaarini Anantaraman. She will be accompanied on the violin by Jaishankar Balan and on mridangam by Vinod Seetharaman.

In association with Vallaki School of Music, CCMA is also planning to hold a grand veena concert by Vidwan D. Balakrishna. He will be accompanied by Indiresh Maktal on the mridangam. The veena concert will take place on April 17 at 4.30 p.m. It will also be held at Upper Arlington City Building.

On April 18, there will be a vocal concert of Kunnakudi Balamuralikrishna. He will be accompanied by S. D. Sridhar on the violin and Tanjavur K. Murugabhoopathi on mridangam. On May 14, there will be a kutcheri of Vijay Siva. He will be accompanied by R.K. Sriramkumar on the violin and J. Vaidyanathan on mridangam. The concert will begin at 7 p.m. All these concerts will be held at Upper Arlington City Building.
