Sudha Ragunathan-promoted Samudhaaya Foundation to take up three new projects
CHENNAI, March 14: Ten-year old Samudhaaya Foundation, promoted by senior Carnatic vocalist Sudha Ragunathan, has decided to take up three more projects. The three projects are: Fund assistance to the renovation works of Clarke School, financial help to Dean Foundation to set up a specialised care centre for terminally ill kids and support to child survivors of sexual abuse through psycho-social and legal services .
The move to take up three more projects comes even as Samudhaaya Foundation enters a fresh decade. ``It gives me enormous happiness and fulfillment to see how much it has grown over the years,'' a release quoted Ms.Sudha Ragunathan as saying.

The foundation has reached out to assist during exigencies and national calamities – for the Kargil Relief Fund, the cyclone victims of Orissa and the victims of the Gujarat earthquake. Samudhaaya has also focused on medicare for underprivileged children and disbursed funds to The Cancer Institute, WIA, Adayar (for pediatric cancer), to Sri Ramachandra Hospital for enabling heart surgeries for 100 underprivileged children and to Sri Arunodayam for the construction of an exclusive children’s lounge in their new premises.

``On the occasion of its tenth anniversary, Samudhaaya has taken into its fold three more projects. I seek the giving and benevolent heart in you to generously donate to touch lives and to bring sunshine in them,'' the release further quoted her as saying.
