Singapore music festival to begin on June 4
SINGAPORE, A grand music festival has been planned here on the 4th, 5th & 6th June, 2010 by Music Career Academy in association with India-based Global Carnatic Music Association. Apart from concerts featuring several leading artistes, the organisers have also plannied a series of competitions under assorted categories for budding artistes in Singapore. The winners from the competitions will be crowned "Singapore Star - Voice of Singapore". Additionally, the winner from Carnatic music segment will be given an opportunity to perform in the December music season 2010. The talent hunt contest will cover Carnatic, Hindustani and devotional music. Also, it will include instrumental categories.

The contest is being organised by Music Career Academy in Association with Global Carnatic Music Association, an organisation that promotes Indian music and dance, on the 4th and 5th of June. There is no age limit. Anyone who has the talent and the desire to excel can participate, says a release.

The talent contest will be held at Global Indian Cultural Centre, #1, Mei Chin Road, Queenstown, Singapore, alongside Music Career Academy’s musical extravaganza, Singapore Music Festival.
